Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Luther J. and Annie DeMates Senn. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Sacristan for St. Patricks Catholic Mission for 30 years and St. Peters B.V.M. Sodality. Mrs. Sturkie was retired from Pacific Mills.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Stanley of Columbia and Mrs. Robbie Kelley of West Columbia; a son William Bernard Sturkie of Cayce; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Peters Catholic Church, conducted by Father Aiken.
Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Peters Catholic Church building fund.
