Fred W. Amos, 49, Scottsboro, died Wednesday in Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services were to be today at 2 p m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Scottsboro, with the Rev. Don Cooper officiating. Burial in Pine Haven Cemetery. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Nell Amos; parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Amos, Albertville; son, Chris Amos; daughters, Mrs. Phyliss Higginbotham, Pam and Kim Amos, all of Scottsboro; brother, Philip Amos, Decatur; sisters, Mrs. J.T. Kelley and Mrs. R. D. Smith, both of Atlanta, Mrs. S.B. Pinkston, Albertville. Mr. Amos was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was employed by Hubb Chevrolet of Collinsville.
