CLINTON — Elizabeth "Bub" Morey (Hain) Gardner, 85, of Clinton, passed away at 1:42 p.m. on Aug. 24, 2012, in her residence. She was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Lee Anthony Hain and Esther (Morey) Hain. She married Donald A. Gardner on Feb. 24, 1951, in Norfolk, Va. She was a retired farmer and housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. She is survived by three sons, Donald L. Gardner of West Chester, Ohio, James M. Gardner of Cincinnati, and Matthew G. Gardner of Lerna, Ill., their wives and seven grandchildren; and one sister, Sarah Sauer of Noblesville.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Walnut Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Wendy Olsen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabeth Hain Gardner Purdue Endowment Fund, 403 W. Wood St., West Lafayette, IN, 47907-2007. Frist Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
