FLORENCE - Mrs. Hazel L. Allen, 78, a former school teacher and secretary in Denmark and Florence, died Wednesday in a local nursing home after a long illness.
She was born in Aiken County, a daughter of the late James R. and Harriet Altman Lecroy. She was a former member of the King's Daughters, UDC chapter in Denmark, and attended Limestone College.
Surviving are three sisters, Miss Rachel Lecroy of Edisto Beach, Mrs. H. B. Gilbreth and Miss Wendell Lecroy of Rock Hill.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Waters Funeral Home with burial at 3 p.m. in Denmark Cemetery.
