On September 3rd, 1946, a beautiful baby girl was born to Lee and Emma (Jones) Lewis in Pine Hollow, Oklahoma. They named her Mary Lee. Nicknamed "Kitten" she was the oldest of ten siblings. Mary Lee attended school in Oktaha from grades one through eighth and graduated from Rentiesville High School in 1966. Accepting Christ at a young age, she attended both the Methodist and Baptist Churches in Oktaha. In Muskogee, Mary Lee was a member at both St. Mark Baptist Church and Evangelist Temple Baptist Church under the direction or Rev. Strawther. Mary Lee met Mr. Harold Aldridge, Jr and to this union one son, H. T. (Harold Tyrone) was born. She was employed at Tower Hill Nursing Home for many years and retired from Muskogee Nursing Center. Mary Lee dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, reminiscing about good times. Her true loves were her grandchildren whom her world revolved around. In addition to her family she enjoyed plants, crocheting, and going to garage sales or "junkin". Those she leaves to cherish her memory include two sons, H. T. (Marva) and Steven of the home, seven grandchildren, Brandon, Steven, Ashley, Ceanti', Allyn, Kaptoria Cymone and Adrian. Eight great-grandchildren, Grandmother Mary "Nanny" Maynard. Sisters, Belzora "Kat" and Nita Faye. Brothers, Aaron (Julie) and Joe (Peggy). Special father, Harold Aldridge, Sr. Special friend Harold Aldridge Jr. Special cousin JoWanda Moham. Special sisters-in-law Louise Lewis and Julie Lewis. Special nieces Lanelle Lewis, Latifah Lewis and Shawn Simpson. Special sister/friend Lula Westerhouse along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Emma and Lee Lewis. Adoptive parents Robert "Cuttin' Robert" and Nettie "Cuttin' Nett" Moham. Aunt/second mother Henryetta Gunn. Sister Nancy and brothers Lee Jr. and Archie. The homegoing celebration for Mary Lee will be held Saturday, September 1st, 2012 11:00am at Harvest Ministries Church with Rev. Lester Beasley, host pastor. Officiating services will be Rev. David Ragsdale, Jr. She will be laid to rest in Nancy Shepherd Cemetery, Pine Hollow, OK. Visitation hours are today from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Services are under the direction of Ragsdale Funeral Center.
