STERLING - Services for Mrs. Mary Carew, 73, Otter Creek, Ia., former Sterling resident who died Sunday noon in Community General hospital here, will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Grennan and Son funeral home here and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Tuesday night in the funeral home.
Mrs. Carew was born in Otter Creek. She lived in Sterling from 1937 to 1941.
Surviving are five sons, Raymond, Rock Falls; LeRoy, DeKalb; Gerald, Otter Creek; Wilfred, Wyoming, Ia.; Paul, Sterling; two daughters, Mrs. Eileen Casel, Zwingle, Ia.; and Mrs. Bernadine Masterson, Earlville; two sisters; six brothers; and 19 grandchildren.
