DENMARK - Johnny Luther Blume Sr., 73, died Friday in an Orangeburg hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Barnwell County, a son of the late John C. and Rilla Wood Blume. He was a retired merchant and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Hutto Blume of Denmark; three sons, Johnny Jr., James and Cecil Blume of Denmark; a brother, Horace Blume of Barnwell; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Hair of Denmark and Mrs. Viola Blume of Aiken; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with burial in Denmark Cemetery.
