Beverly C. Carpenter, 78, a longtime Rush County resident, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at her home in Milroy, IN.
Beverly was born on April 30, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Henry F. and Emma Rose (Whiteman) Baldruf. Beverly lived her early life in NY, and married Robert Carpenter on May 3, 1955 later moving to Rush County in 1973. Robert preceded her in death on January 8, 1990.
She was a Nursing Assistant at Millers Merry Manor formerly (Jackson Nursing Home) retiring after 16 years. Beverly attended New Salem United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Liberty.
Beverly leaves behind 4 sons, Robert "Butch" Carpenter Jr. of Milroy, IN, Kenny and wife Lori Carpenter of Greenwood, IN, Kevin Carpenter and William John "Willie" Carpenter both of Milroy, IN. 2 daughters, Eva Carpenter of Rushville, IN and Christina "Chrissy" and husband Dustin Foust also of Rushville. 1 sister, Carolyn and husband John Valentine of Seldon Long Island, NY, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by 1 brother, 1sister and a grandson Brayden.
Services will be at 11 AM, Monday, August 27, 2012 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville, IN with Pastor Phil Mitchell presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 2 until 6 PM Sunday August 26.
Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery following the service.
