SWEETWATER, Texas --- Funeral for GEORGE A. ADAMS, age 81, a Nolan County resident for 54 years who died on Thursday at 12:40 p.m. in Simmons Memorial Hospital, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the Patterson Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Charles Gates, pastor of Highland Heights Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery will follow.

Mr. Adams, whose home was at 207 West Arkansas, was born in Ramer, Tennessee on Mar. 13, 1881, and married Arlie Allgood in Ellis County, Texas in 1905.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Alma Dee Ferber of Tyler, Texas, Mrs. Jack Kelly of Portland, Maine, and Mrs. Myna Roden of Odessa, Texas; two brothers, E. J. Adams of Kermit, Texas, and R. L. Adams of Terrell, Texas; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be V. W. Lehde, Joe Allen, Walter Baucum, Leon Nunn, Ralph Walker, and E. F. Lewis. ~~ ABILENE REPORTER, Abilene, TX, July 20, 1962, page 2
