Joseph Roy Rice married Lillian Belle Kidwell, sister to my grandmother, Dora Mae Kidwell. They had no children. They lived on Sycamore Street in Hannibal. He was the City Collector of Hannibal. His father, Roy Joseph Rice, married an older sister of my grandfather [Samuel Higbee Bush], Lavinia Bush. He was an avid hunter, fisherman. Liked to hunt ducks. He was a fanatic St. Louis Cardinal follower. He was good to my grandmother, Dora Mae Bush. He owned a side-by-side duplex and rented one side to her. We spent a lot of time visiting grandma in the early 1940s.
