Eleanor Francis Blair, 74, of Emporia, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

She was born July 8, 1928 at Strong City, the daughter of John and Mary (Scheve) Gamer.

She was united in marriage to Richard Blair at Strong City on Jan. 1 (sic 23), 1949. He survives at the home. She was employed at St. Mary's Hospital in Emporia as a dietary aide for 15 years. She also worked in food service for the Emporia School District at William Allen White School for several years and at the Reebles Country Mart north store.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia, the Rosean Club and R.F.D. Mixers Extension Unit.

She is survived by her husband; sons: David Blair, Gregory L. Blair, and Paul C. Blair; daughters: Karen S. Whittington and Linda K. Haag; brothers: Robert Gamer, Joseph Gamer; sisters: Clara Ringo and Margaret Haney; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward Gamer.

Funeral services will be held Thurs. Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. with Father Dan Gardner of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia. Interment following at the Rosean Cemetery north of Emporia.
