Gilbert F. Giberson, twin of Amelia was born to George M. Giberson and his first wife Emeline. His mother died shortly after he and his sister were born. He was living with his grandmother Lydia Giberson on both the 1851 1861, and 1871 Canadian Census Records in Kent Parish, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada (Bath is in Kent Parish). He married Georgianna Lloyd about 1873, and they had four children: Harry Franklin, Letitia M., William B., and Clara Giberson. Georgianna died in 1890 and later he married a widow, Marilla Kearney Crain, daughter of Jonas and Rachel Kearney, on 27 March 1893 in Bath. They had a daughter Celia.
