Clayton Carr left us early Saturday morning. Prior to joining his loved ones in Heaven he made one brief stop to assist his beloved WSU Cougars defeat UCLA.

He is survived by his wife Edna of 51 years, sons Ron and Rod Carr of Bellingham, Randy (Tish) Carr of Lacey, and daughter Rena (Steve) Jansen of Enumclaw. His grandchildren Eric & Adam Carr, and Saree Jansen (all currently attending WSU); Bryant Jansen, Kylie & Dusty Heerlyn; sisters Eldeen King, Louise (Bob) Bray, Marguerite (Phil) Stoddard, and numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his mother Alma, brother Keith, father Clifford & step-mother Chris.

Clayton was a lifelong athlete and avid sports fan. At WSU, he was the Co-captain/Catcher for the 1950 College World Series Baseball Team. He also played for the Bellingham Bell's. After serving in the US Army in Korea, Clayton was an appraiser for Horizon Bank for 32 years. He loved to travel to Cougar football games, enjoyed his Saturday golf group at BGCC, was an avid Mariners fan, & looked forward to attending high school sporting events. He was a man of honor and integrity and a true example of courage and perseverance. He never lost his sense of humor and was an inspiration to others.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, or to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 10. Graveside Services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Wednesday, November 10th at 11 am with military honors by American Legion Post #7, followed by Funeral Services at Westford Funeral Home at 1 pm.
