J. Alexander Cortright was married twice: 1st marriage was to Charlotte H. Bell 1828-1862. Charlotte died six months after their marriage which took place in Aug 1861. Alexander married a 2nd time - Sarah Ann Pointer in May 1868. Alexander and Sarah had one child Florence Cortright 1871- 1926, who married Letsom Lewis Chapman in 1891.
