Suggested edit: Some info about his burial/gravestone: Edward Tissue's obituary in the local newspaper, the Crystal Mail, written after the fact, says he was buried in the Crystal Cemetery. His obit in the Lansing State Journal, which was published between his death and funeral, says he was going to be buried in Crystal. I have examined the township burial records, and neither he nor his wife are listed as being buried in any of the three Crystal cemeteries. There also is no gravestone, and none listed in the transcription of gravestones on the Montcalm County USGENWEB page, but I believe he is probably buried here some where - perhaps in the plot that his son Owen is buried in, or in his in-law's or brother's plots. However, there is no record or gravestone found. Greg Snyder, Crystal Twp Historical Society, [email protected]
