THE LEBANON ENTERPRISE, Friday, September 24, 1948. DEATH COMES TO RAYWICK WOMAN. Long Illness Ends Saturday For Mrs. Mollie Hardesty, 81.

Mrs. Mollie F. Hardesty, 81, widow of Albert Quinn Hardesty, died at 1 o'clock Saturday morning at her home at Raywick. She had been in failing health for several years, due to complications incident to her advanced age, and her condition became critical several weeks before her passing.

Born on July 3, 1867, a daughter of L. P. and Katherine Crowdus Bickett, both long deceased, she was a life-long resident of the county. She also was a life-long member of the Catholic Church, active as long as she was able and knows to practically everyone in the Raywick section. Her marriage to the late Mr. Hardesty was soleminized at St. Francis Xavier Church about sixty years ago. His death occurred on January 29, 1929.

One son, J. L. Hardesty, rural mail carrier at Raywick, survives, and one daughter Mrs. J. E. Mitchell of Bradford, Ill. Another son, Gilbert Hardesty, veteran of World War I, died a number of years ago, and several other children died in infancy.

There is one surviving brother, Tyler Bickett of Tiskilwa, Ill. Two brothers, Joe and Earl Bickett, died within two days of each other about two years ago, the former in Illinois and the other in this county.

Mrs. Hardesty's remains were brought to the Bosley Funeral Home and later were returned to the Hardesty residence until the funeral service, which were conducted Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Francis Xavier Church by the Rev. C. V. Tompkins. Burial was in the church cemetery. Six grandsons served as pallbearers, J. L., Jr., Mac, Robert, Joe, John and Jerry Hardesty.
