James A Stewart Died

Stewart-At his home in this city, Thursday, April 25, 1889 at 3 o'clock, of dropsy. James A Stewart, aged 69 years, 1 month and 24 days.

The deceased was a resident of Kansas for more than 29 years preceding his death, and the greater portion of the time was spent in this county.

Never having been blessed with children, he leaves only a widow, who is suffering from a paralytic stroke, to mourn the loss of a husband's care and devotion.

He was a Christian, a useful citizen, and his death will be mourned and regretted by many. He was an uncle to J. S. and J. W. Eastwood.

The funeral services, conducted by Elder Fanshire, were held at the Christian church, the following Saturday, at 1 o'clock p. m. and were largely attended.
