Charles W. "Chuck" Wesner, 81, of Lafayette, passed away at 10:51 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Rosewalk Village Healthcare. Born September 9, 1930 in Bicknell, IN, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Evelyn (Baker) Wesner. He honorably served in the Army Air Corps. Chuck has resided in Lafayette since 1972. He was baptized in the First Christian Church.

He married Sue L. Eshelman on September 1, 1962 in Lafayette and she survives. Chuck was a truck driver for over 35 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #492 in West Lafayette and Post #1 in Connersville. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, enjoyed watching Purdue football and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving with his wife are his sons, Charles H. Wesner (wife, Teresa), Jim Wesner (wife, Jill), and William "Bill" Wesner, his daughters, Evelyn Siefers (companion, Gregg VanDeventer) and Loretta "Jeananne" Wesner, all of Lafayette; and a half sister. Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Visitation one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service on Monday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Wyandotte Cemetery with military honors by Post #11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Finders Food Bank. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
