Lafayette was born at Crowe in what was also Roger Mills County at the time. Prior to 1901 the present day Elk City did not exist. There was a nearby settlement of Crowe which moved to the present site of Elk City in 1901 and changed its name to Busch. The name Elk City came in 1907 with statehood.

In June 1931 Lafayette, called Fayette, was living in/near Hammon, Oklahoma.

LaFayette Allee, 48, passed away Thursday at an Elk City hospital following a long illness. Mr. Allee was the oldest son of A. F. Allee, a pioneer resident of this vicinity. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Hammon by Rev. W. R. Trent and Rev. Cooksey. Burial occurred in Red Hill cemetery near Hammon.

Mrs. Dorothy Graham of Los Angeles, California, Clifford Alee(sic) of Richmond, California, and Eddie and Bobby Gene Allee of the U. S. Navy, arrived Saturday to attend their father's funeral. They visited their grandfather, A. F. Allee, and uncle, Bobbiee(sic) Allee, while there.
