Anna Mae Brunk, 89, of Windsor Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Basilica of St. John Catholic Church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Anna was born in Stuart, Iowa, and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was also a retired associate from the JC Penney Co. Anna was a member of the Basilica for 58 years, a member of St. John's Rosary Society, and the Easter Seals Association.

Anna is survived by a son, Raymond; five daughters, Carolyn, Shirley, and Pam Brunk, Janis (Bill) McClish and Patty (Steve) Overton; a brother, Larry (Ann) Tharnish; ten grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferd Brunk Jr.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Westover Funeral Home, with a prayer service being held at 5:30 p.m.
