"Funeral services for Miss Coral Kauffman, 24, were held Saturday afternoon from the First Methodist Church in Colesburg. There was a large attendance and a lavish tribute of beautiful flowers. The Rev. Floyd R. Maynard was the minister in charge of the services at the church, and also read the burial serivce at the graveside in the Brown Cemetery.
Coral Gertrude Kauffman, youngest daughter of James William and Gertrude Bolsinger Kauffman was born March 31, 1922 at the farm home here. She graduated from the Colesburg Consolidated School with the class of 1940 and attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. She was employed in Des Moines for almost two years and later by selective service at Elkader until failing health forced her to resign the position early in 1946.
She spent a happy, busy and useful life, and will long be held in grateful remembraance by a wide circle of friends."
