Donna Crump Holmes, our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend returned home in the early morning hours on August 12, 2007, after a short illness. She was born March 8, 1926 in Bluffdale, Utah. She was the second daughter of seven children born to Reynold and Myrtle Crump. She married her sweetheart, Henry Horace Holmes on February 27, 1950.
Donna was active in her faith and held many callings. She and her husband served a mission in South Carolina for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints .
Donna joined her parents, her sisters: Laura Beth Peterson, Vivian Webb, her brother Stan Crump, her daughter Donetta Barrow and son-in-law Kimball Barrow.
She is survived by her husband Henry, their children: Deanna (Ron) Johnson, Henry (Kathy) Holmes, and Nancy Iverson; her sisters: Marlene Aston and Vesta Smith, and brother Norman Crump. Donna and "Hank" have 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mom was an optimist and had a love of life and always enjoyed visits from family members and friends. Her love and laughter will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bluffdale 2nd Ward 14400 South 1700 West. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 South 2200 West and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment Bluffdale Cemetery 16 August 2007.
