---Mrs. Fred Gauss of Fredonia passed away at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Rose Gauss in west Hanover street. Mrs. Gauss had been confined to Oaklawn hospital for the past seven weeks following an automobile accident near Ellis Corners. She had been moved from the hospital only an hour when she suffered a sudden heart attack which caused her death.
---Elizabeth Bruckner was born September 23, 1863 in Fredonia where she had always resided. Her marriage to Fred Gauss occurred April 9, 1899. She was a faithful members[sic] of the Evangelical church of Ellis Corners and its societies.
---Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Miss Olive Gauss and son, Ilo, who reside at home, another daughter, Mrs. Herbert Dawes of South Gate, Cal. Funeral services are deferred awaiting the arrival of the daughter from California.
