Son of Tilford Jefferson and Laura Lee (nee Thomson) Jones. He was my great grandmother's loving brother.

Sam served in World War I as a private in the 1st Infantry US Army Corp of Engineers (Kansas). His service number was 1,472,792.

Sam married Clara (nee Golden) Jillson in the 1930s. He passed away without issue.
