Emma Pearl Jones was born April 13, 1945, in Independence to William Jefferson Lindsey and Iva Endicott Lindsey. She passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at her home in Clinton.

She married Laurence Jones Sr. on January 12, 1962. They lived in Kansas City until 1973 when they moved to Tightwad to raise their five children.

She worked several years at Cripps Drug and Drugs Plus and later on at Rival Manufacturing where she retired.

After her retirement she spent her time with her family and pet Shih-Tzu, Phoebe Sue.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Jones Sr.; her parents, William Jefferson and Iva Lindsey; two brothers, Ralph and William Lindsey; five sisters, Elizabeth Van Haele, Martha Durken, Edith Moss, Nancy Jones and Barbara Wharton; and one grandson, Christopher Miracle.

She is survived by her five children, 23 grandchildren, and her pet, Phoebe Sue Jones; three sisters.

Memorial services were held at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home Chapel, April 20.

Inurnment was in Englewood Cemetery.
