The Daily Record: RITTMAN -- Glenn E. Pomeroy, 72, of Rittman, died unexpectedly Monday night, Oct. 18, 2010, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. He was born July 29, 1938, in Dry Branch, W.Va., to Burl and Delilah (Brewer) Pomeroy and lived most of his life in Rittman. He was married to Janice Pomeroy. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2008. He was employed by Quality Castings for the past 40 years and was an active member of Rittman Community Free Will Baptist Church. Glenn enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gospel singing and playing music. Surviving are children, Edward (Debra) Pomeroy, Sherry (Glenn) Griffith, William (Rhonda) Pomeroy and Nathan Pomeroy, all of Rittman; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith (Velma) Pomeroy of Cabin Creek, W.Va.; and a sister, Carol (Mickey) Carver of Cabin Creek, W.Va. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, at Rittman Community Free Will Baptist Church, 354 N. Main St., Rittman, with the Rev. John W. Castle officiating. Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery.
