Funeral services for Robert Lewis "Candyman" Adams, age 81 of Jasper, Texas will be held Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Robert was born December 11, 1927 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Horace and Lillian Adams and passed away on November 27, 2009 in Beaumont, Texas.
He will be remembered by many as an owner of Adams Supply. He served his country during WWII in the Navy and was a deacon at Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 50 years.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Adams, his sister Elaine Englehart and his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy Adams, his children, Janice Adams Lyle, Robert Adams, Judy Adams Sawyer and Frances Adams Rowe, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brothers, Max Adams and Ronnie Adams. He is also survived by Dorothy's children, Rhonda Hollingsworth, Bridgett Brotzman and Randy Mitchael.
