LaVerne "John" Paul Fritz, 79, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away July 7, 2006 at home. Funeral services were held Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home in Kansas City. Interment will follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
John was born on April 29, 1927 in Monett, MO the son of Arthur and Selma (Quade) Fritz of Monett, Missouri. He was a WWII Army veteran. He worked for Armco Steel as a Metallurgical Observer for 30 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Fritz was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Primary Purpose, Life Member of the V.F.W and an avid fisherman.
John was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Rose "Louise" Fritz of the home; 6 children; a brother; his step-father; 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. (Edited for content)
