A funeral service for Donald L. Glossinger Sr., 60, who died at 8:10 p.m. Dec 28, 1989 at Memorial Hospital, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Root Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to the hour of service.
Mr. Glossinger was born on July 29, 1929, in Union Pier, MI, the son of John and Cludie Belle (Habel) Glossinger.
On Oct 27, 1953, in Michigan City, he married Betty Jean Vanderpool, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Donald Glossinger Jr.; three daughters, Karen Glossinger, Marianne Kuta and Diane Clemons, all of Michigan City; and five grandchildren: four sisters, Ruth Welch of Michigan City, Mary Bailer of Fort Wayne, Grace McCollough of Gary and Alta Lanningham of Birmingham, AL, and a brother William Glossinger of Florida.
Mr. Glossinger had been an equipment operator at Weil-McLain Co. for five years. He served in the U.s. Navy in the Korean War. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glossinger family.
