Roy Marshall Flippo, 80, died at 11:30 Pm Saturday at Central Nursing Center. Services will be at 2:20 PM Tuesday at Fairmount Methodist Church.
The Rev. Ralph Odem will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Kiker-Layland Funeral Home, 1442 N 2nd.
The body will be at the church from 1:30 OM Tuesday until service time.
Born Sept, 16, 1896 he married Gertrude Stockton Dec 27, 1914 near Buffalo Gap. The couple lived on a farm near Tuscola until 1920, when they moved to Abilene. He was employed by Ben e, Keith Co for 33 years. He was a Methodist. Mrs. Flippo preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A.A. (Onita) Shelton of Abilene and Mrs. H.A. (Helen June) Moore of Odessa; a son, Marshall of Abilene; a sister, Pearl Williams of Abilene; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be Ray Howe, R. E. Patton, John Gorczyinski, Robert Allen, Joe L. Brown, Hulen Hughes.
