In 1904 Albert lost his mother and brother in the General Slocum disaster. Seven years later, he lost his father, leaving him one of the last two members of the family. Albert worked as a florest and as an iron worker.

For 11 years he worked for Martin Anderson at his butcher shop. In 1945 he was working at Mr. Martin's farm in Kingston. He was driving a tractor which overturned killing Albert. Albert had a sister but I do not know if she was contacted. The sheriff's office contacted Mr. Anderson who must have arranged for the body to be returned to the city. Albert was united with his family when he was buried in Lutheran Cemetery.
