Suggested edit: Mrs. George W. Moore, the pioneer resident of Knox County, passed away at the family home near Goree on Tuesday night. Born Ida Martha Blout she moved to Young County with her parents in the early 1880s. She married George W. Moore on 12 October 1899 and they moved to Knox County in 1901. She has been living in Goree since 1906. Mrs. Moore professed faith in Christ in the early 1890s and joined the Baptist Church. Her father was a charter member of the Groree Baptist Church. Services were held in the Baptist Church officiated by Rev. S.E. Stevenson, the pastor, and assisted by Rev. F.T. Johnston and Rev. J. Waid Griffin. Survivors include her husband; three children; one granddaughter; one brother; three sisters.
