He and his wife, Lucinda Wilson, moved to Yancey County prior to 1834.
Al but one of his children were born in Yancey Couunty.
He returned to Henderson County after the death of his parents and his wife. The grave site of his wife, Lucinda Wilson Edney (born abt 1812 in North Carolina and died in 1856 in Yancey County) is not known.
Therefore, he was living in Henderson County when the war began.
