Kenneth "Ken" A. Jones, age 86, of Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was born in San Angelo, Texas on February 21, 1926 to parents C.F. and Pernie (Gailey) Jones. Ken served in the U.S. Army and worked as a field underwriter for Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He was a member of the San Gabriel Masonic Lodge #89, Ben D. Snowden VFW Post #8587 and St. John's United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenny, daughter Carol Trevathan and brothers Bobby and J.C.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Mike; brother, Lloyd; a sister, Geraldine Norwood; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Jarvis Philpot officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, Ben D. Snowden VFW Post #8587 or San Gabriel Masonic Lodge #89.
