Joseph Lee Abernathy
BRADFORD - Joseph Lee Abernathy, 67, of Bradford, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Upper Valley Medical Center.
Joseph was born June 24, 1940, in Bradford, to the late Hershel and Lavina (Hartle) Abernathy.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Adah Fae (Lee) Abernathy; stepson, Lace and wife, Patty Leichty of California; two daughters, Tammie Abernathy of Greenville and Krystal and husband, Chad Barber of Greenville; six grandchildren, Nicholas Benavidez, Blake Abernathy, Jeffrey Thornton III, Shelby Cassity, Adisann Barber and Ryleigh Barber; sister, Nancy Miller of California; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Richard, Bill, Paul and Tom Abernathy; and three sisters, Helen Apple, Doris Fair and Lila Delzieth.
Joseph was a graduate of Bradford High School, class of 1958; and was retired from General Motors.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford, with Pastor Harland Dailey officiating. Interment will be in Gettysburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
