Reuben Nathaniel Lundgren (son of Louis Eric Lundgren and Clara Maria Erickson) was born 01 Jun 1907 in Republic, Kansas. He married Ellen Lorene Polson on 18 Jul 1937 in Axtell, Marshall, Kansas.


Graveside services for Reuben Nathaniel Lundgren, 85, of Fresno, CA., were held at Fresno Memorial Gardens in September. Mr. Lundgren was born two miles cast of Agenda, June 1, 1907, and died September 20, 1992. He was a graduate of Agenda High School. Mr. Lundgren was a retired owner of a barber shop.
He married Ellen L. Polson July 18, 1937, at Axtell. She preceded him in death August 27, 1990. Surviving are a son, Jerold of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter Jane L. Leffler, Fresno, CA, a brother, Emmanuel of Nebraska; a sister, Esther Lundgren of Kansas; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mr. Lundgren is also survived by a first cousin, Anna Erickson, Clifton.
His mother was Clara M. Erickson. She came to America in 1869, at the age of two with her grandfather, Olof Jansson's immigrant party. The Janssons and four adult children took claims on Dry Creek in SW Washington County. A sixth claim of 160 acres was taken by Erik Erikson, a single man age twenty-six and not related, who traveled to America with the Janssons. Mr. Erikson's, brother, Lars Erik Lundgren, arrived from Sweden in the 1880's. Lars E. Lundgren and Clara M. Erickson were married March 18, 1888. Clarice E. Barger, Clyde, is a granddaughter of Erik Erikson.
