Betty Ruth Baker Antoon, 71, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Betty was born March 8, 1941 in Magnolia to the late John Lanier Baker and Ruth Rushton Baker. She was a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas and a devoted Razorback fan throughout her lifetime. Betty worked as a young woman in the family business, Arnold-Baker Chevrolet, and later went on to assist her husband, the late Robert Antoon, in the management of Robert's.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother-in-law, the late Jim Arnold. Betty is survived by her sister, Barbara Baker Arnold; her nieces, Mandy Arnold Headrick and husband Marc, Becky Arnold Jones and husband Danny, and Debbie Arnold; her nephew Jimmy Arnold and wife Jodie, all of Magnolia; a host of great nieces and nephews that include Travis Arnold, Jessica Arnold, Danielle Jones and Sam Jones; her first cousins, Dr. Linda Rushton Selman and husband Dr. Frank Selman, and Parrie Jane Rushton Carroll and husband Tommy and their families. Betty is also survived by four brothers-in-law: Johnny Antoon, James Antoon, Dr. Pat Antoon, and Paul Michael Antoon, their families, and her constant companion, her poodle, Kaylee.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. Pallbearers are Edward Hurley, Mike Love, Larry Talley, and Buddy Horne. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p .m. at Lewis Funeral Home.
