She was born May 5, 1912, in Pittsburg, to the late William Terrell and Annie Kate Merrill LaGrand. She was a retired nurse for Refugio Memorial Hospital with more than 30 years of service. She was a Methodist.
Survivors: daughters, Tommie Ann Davidson of Lake Whitney and Woodie Lee Weitzel of Refugio; stepson, Rudolph Mayfield of Universal City; sister, Margie Lee Hammons of Otisco, Ind.; brother, Bates LaGrand of Richardson; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, T.C. Mayfield; stepdaughter, Martha Gies; and stepsons, Robert Mayfield and Earl Mayfield.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Refugio, the Rev. John Alsop officiating.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home, Refugio, 361-526-4334.
