The following resolutions of respect was adopted by the Sharon Normal School in memory of Chauncey P. Parks last week;
Whereas it has pleased Almighty God to remove from our midst our esteemed brother student, Chauncey P. Parks, who has been a respected student and member of this the second session of the Sharon Normal School,
Therefore be it….
Resolved, that we, as students and teachers deplore his loss to our school, and to the profession of teaching, and extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved parents, relatives and friends,
Resolved, That as many of the students as possible attend the funeral services, and that his desk be draped in mourning for ten days.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the bereaved parents and in each of the county papers for publication.
