Beverly K. Cook, 92, of Richland Center, died Friday, June 25, 2021, at Schmitt Woodland Hills. She was born on December 10, 1928, the daughter of Ivan and Marjorie (Elliott) Wheeler. Beverly was united in marriage with Buren H. Cook on May 26, 1951, at the Sylvan Church. She attended first through eighth grade at Blackhawk School. Beverly graduated from Viola High School and went on to graduate from Teachers College. She taught 5 years at the Ogden School. After her children were of school age she worked at the Richland Locker for 10 years. Beverly then worked up to the age of 81 at Schmitt Woodland Hills as supervisor of Housekeeping. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW Auxiliary, as well as a committee member of the Richland County Veterans War Memorial. Beverly was a 4-H General Leader for the Horse Creek Hustlers. She volunteered at the Richland Hospital courtesy desk, Red Cross Blood Drive, Family Thrift Shop, poll worker for elections, and Schmitt Woodland Hills Handi-shop. Beverly and Buren traveled for many years throughout the United States attending Buren's Army reunions. She continued traveling after Buren's death with bus tour groups to many locations including New York, Washington D.C., and Alaska. Beverly also attended many of her grandchildren's functions.

Beverly is survived by her children: Marjorie (Bill) Bisco of Richland Center, Melvern (Dianne) Cook of Blue River, Martivan Cook (Chantel Lisney) of Blue River, Michael Cook (Cheryl Marshall) of Richland Center; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brother Tony (Alycedene) Wheeler of Viola, sister Karel (LaVerne) Gulsrud of Richland Center, sister-in-law Faith Hallett of Richland Center, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Buren, her parents, and a grandson Archie Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Memorials in Beverly's name should be directed to the family. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements
