During WWII, Alvah Lee Wright was a 4F and not drafted into the war because of a hole in his eardrum. He was one of the only unmarried men in the States during WWII. According to my mom, he was handsome, charming and divorced and raising 2 sons when he met Carol at work in Tulsa. They married and had 2 daughters. Al was in his 40's when he acquired oral cancer which took his life too soon in 1958.
Alvah's 4 children were Jimmy, Bobby, Carolyn, and Donna.
