PIERCE, MARY C. ALTAFFER WOLFE August 9, 1912 to March 25, 2008 Born in Red Oak, Iowa. Preceded in death by first husband Merrill Altaffer, her son Robert Altaffer, and loving husband of 27 years, Lonal G. Pierce. She enjoyed musical art programs, was a member of the Associated Arts of S.D. and cherished her memories of serving food to the homeless. Mary never faltered in the love for her church, family and friends. Survivors include two granddaughters Debra Jo, Karen Kay; three great-grandchildren Jason, Robbie, Steven; two great-great-grand-children Antone, Michaela. Other loving family members; Ernie, Gary, Steve, Christine, Amanda, Trent. Mary was a devoted servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church located at 320 Date St. in Downtown S.D. where a Service will be held in her remembrance on April 10, 2008, at 1:00 p.m.
