Dema Belle (Holeman) Boraker passed away at her home on July 23, 2007. She was born on May 14, 18907, to Alfred and Minni Holeman in Bronson, Kansas, and came to Washington with her family in February 1914.
She graduated from Ferndale High School in 1925 and married Jewell Boraker in September 1926. During her working years she was a bookkeeper for her father and husband in their businesses. Her enjoyment was knitting, crocheting, gardening, reading, playing pinochle with her friends, and baker her famous coconut cream pies.
Dema was preceded in death by her husband Jewell. Survivors are daughters Donna (Phil) Portrey, and Charolotte Boraker; son Everett (Helen) Boraker; five grandchildren; nien greatgrandchildren; eight great-greatgrandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Fund at First Baptist Church, Ferndale, WA
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 30, at 1 pm at the First Baptist Church, Ferndale.
