Mr. Borland resided here several years when his father, the late G. R. Borland was Burlington agent. He graduated from Geneva high school in 1914. He served in a medical detachment in World War I. He passed away at the Hines Veterans hospital in Illinois. He was forty-eight years of age.
The deceased is survived by his mother and two sisters, Mrs. Borland and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Lamb, were here for the funeral.
