Funeral service for Lorene Floyd Hopper, 85, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Smallwood officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hopper who died Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Cullman Regional Medical Center, was born June 15, 1927, in Blount County to Luther L. Floyd and Flora A. Floyd. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis E Hopper; daughter-in-law, Faye Hopper; brother, Buddy Floyd; and three grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Jeremy Hopper and Justin Hopper.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Hopper (Lucy), Hartselle, Sherrill Hopper, Welti, and Jerry Hopper, Hartselle; three daughters, Rosemary Russell (Jack), Somerville, Sandra Dunn (Larry), Cullman, and Yvonne Earls (David), Hartselle; one brother, Earl Floyd, Blountsville; one sister, Clois Maples, Falkville; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael J. Hopper, Billy Russell, Joel Willis, Jason West, Dusty Earls and Derrick Hopper.

The family would like to express thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Cullman Regional Medical Center CCU and 3rd Floor East Doctors and Nursing Staff.
