She was born on February 12, 1919 in Westville, the daughter of Thomas H. and Flora M. Thomas Coan.
She married Ben Gardner on October 30, 1937. He passed away on November 24, 1986. S
he was also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harry and Thomas ‘Bub' Coan; her son, Jim Gardner and her daughter-in-law, Sonda Gardner.
She is survived by her sons, Bob (Deena) Gardner and Jerry (Karen) Gardner; grandchildren, Denny (Juli) Gardner, Tom (Becky) Gardner, Brieanne (Jasen) Best, Emily (Matt) Miller, Cathy (Lonnie) Lappin and Robert (Shannon) Gardner; great grandchildren, Amber, Stephanie, Kyle, Tyler, Brittani, Courtney, Ben, Daulton and Brysen; four great-great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Maxine Coan.
