Marlin Howard Barker, 79, of North Buffalo Township, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Kittanning, a son of the late Howard and Laura (Luke) Barker. Marlin had been a supervisor for the Butler County Mushroom Mines. He was a member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren, Seneca Lodge No. 805 F AM in Kittanning and New Castle Consistory. Marlin was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He is survived by his daughter, Diane (Michael) Reed, of Bolivar, Ohio; son, Larry Barker, of North Buffalo Township; and sister, Marie Leinweber (William), of Kittanning. In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Barker in 2009; brother, Ray Barker; and brother, Richard Barker. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday in Center Hill Church of the Brethren.
