Mrs. Stepp was a native of Cove Creek, NC and a daughter of the late Solomon Levi Sutton (1887-1933) and Melissa Caldonia (Messer) Sutton.
She was a homemaker and a member of Carlisle Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by sons and daughters in law: Leon and Brenda Stepp of Campobello, Rev. Michael and Joyce Stepp of Boiling Springs; daughters and sons in law: Patricia and Frank Sprouse of Converse, Edith Grizzle of Mayo, and Ann and Jerry Blanchard of Converse; twenty one grandchildren, thirty seven great grand children, and seven great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters: Willie Mae Thornton and Geneva Whitlock; and a son: Glenn Stepp. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Carlisle Wesleyan Church officiated by Rev. Kenneth Cash. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
