A former resident of rural Muir, Mrs. Alcie S. Greenleaf, 89, died Friday evening at the home of her son, George, in Worthington, Ohio, where she had lived the past seven years.
She was born December 9, 1876, in Jackson county, Ohio, daughter of Benjamin and Malvina Garrett. Her husband Wallace C. Greenleaf preceded her in death in 1951. Mrs. Greenleaf was a member of Worthington Methodist church and a former member of Ionia First Christian church.
She is survived by one son, George G. of Worthington, Ohio, one step-son, Stanley C. of California, and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with interment in Muir Cemetery.
