Edward Ruhl, after an illness of little over a week, passed away early Monday morning. He fell a victim to pneumonia. Edward Ruhl was a resident of Douglas for many years. He came to Wyoming in 1895 and in 1896 enlisted in the 1st Wyoming regiment of volunteers, being a member of Company F. He served two years in the Phillippines. Mr. Ruhl's ancestors from his great-great grandfather were in the service of the United States. The great-great grandparent was killed in the Revolutionary War, the great grandfather served in the War of 1812, the grandfather served in the Mexican Wars, his father in the Civil War. On December 25, 1907, he was married to Dayse D. Fitzgerald, who with two daughters, Pauline and Vivian, survives him. He also leaves to mourn him his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ruhl of this city; a sister, Mrs. A. J. Forbes of Rock Springs, and two brothers, E. W. and S. H. Ruhl of Douglas. Obit and headstone lists his name as Edwin, but mortuary records show Edward; and his mother's obit calls him Edward.
